Responsibilities include working with venues, festivals, and performing arts centers in 30 states and four countries, under the leadership band manager John Smith, who is now Associate Director of Smithsonian Folkways; Ensured operations were running smoothly including ticket sales, merchandise area, and secured backstage/maintain VIP and special guest access; Scheduled daily itinerary for 7­-24 touring musicians and crew members, including transportation and lodging arrangements; Occasionally served as stage manager, production manager, guitar tech, merchandise sales, lighting engineer, and monitor engineer; Served as tour accountant, settling up US and international currency transactions each night; Served as primary point of contact and public relations representative for the band and management while on tour; Strong ability to work alongside industry representatives, festival promoters, VIP guests, and a wide variety of fans; media liaison (secure media coverage for client, pre­screening journalists, set up press conferences, conduct interviews and answer questions on behalf of the client); co-managed social media accounts and made posts on behalf of client; processed and conducted billing transactions while working with a central support management team. Tour manager for the 2014 Central Time Tour feauring Pokey LaFarge, Dom Flemons, Cajun Country Revival, and more. I often served as a primary point of contact and public relations representative, organized press conferences, conducted interviews, developed relationships with journalists, and secured media coverage in publications like Esquire, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and NPR. Worked alongside program directors from WOMAD, A Prairie Home Companion, Newport Folk Festival, Grand Ole Opry, and more.
